About the event
Make Waves is a movement with the purpose of connecting a community of young women 13-18 years old, and empower them to “Make Waves” and “Move Mountains”. We support and guide development of skills that will help our participants live a happier and healthier life on a daily basis, in turn helping them reach their highest potential as they navigate into adulthood. These skills include but aren’t limited to building self-confidence, positive self-talk, emotional intelligence and conflict management.
Make Waves Retreat is a stand-up paddle board overnight camp, in which we spend time throughout the day on the beach discussing the different empowerment skills that will help each participant make waves in the real world. These skills are then implemented as the participants hit the water for some paddle boarding and different activities such as learning how to board (basic to advanced), games, and SUP yoga!
